Gateway To Yosemite

Merced has historically been known as the Gateway To Yosemite. Before leaving Merced, consider visiting the places that the heart of the SJV Valley has to offer!

California's Yosemite National Park is one of the nation's greatest natural beauties. If you'd like to do some inner healing in nature, or just some exploring, you can look into visiting via. the Yosemite Travel Site or through UC Merced's in-person and virtual tours. Note that for the smoothest Yosemite experience, it's best to plan and book your visit well in advance. Be sure to check on mandatory reservations and alerts through the Yosemite Park Services Site.

Bike along Creek Trails

Merced values bicycling as a significant form of transportation and offers miles of off-street bike paths along waterways and creeks. If you enjoy riding your bicycle to relax, you may want to explore the bike paths that our city offers!

For more information, visit the City of Merced's Planning Division Site.
