CHAPS: STACK

Project Overview

The CHAPS: STACK (Children's Health and Air Pollution Study: Standardized Assessments, Attention, and Cognition in California Kids) study aims to determine whether exposure to air pollution is related to neurodevelopment in children. It assesses the relationship between air pollution and standardized test performance across California. Additionally, it conducts an in-depth exploration of lifetime exposure to multiple pollutants in a highly exposed subpopulation within California.

Geographic Area of Focus

San Joaquin Valley; Especially Fresno
